It seems like you can't go anywhere or turn your TV on without hearing about Twitter. Twitter is something I have avoided until now. This mainstream media is a source to keep people up to date with the latest and greatest thing you are doing this moment. For celebrities it seems just another medium to promote their products. Very rarely do you learn anything of substance from this media.
Since Twitter is everywhere now there are many problems that can be created with the 140 words or less someone can tweet. Anyone can create false tweets to create issues for anyone in this technological society we live in. Everything is out there for anyone to see on Twitter.
One positive thing I can say about Twitter is you can stay current on the latest information out there on any topic you choose to follow.
For the purpose of this course, I will only be using Twitter to enhance my PLN or Personal Learning Nework. As I will be able to stay connected to the latest topics for the tweets that I wish to follow.
I finally have created just today my own Twitter account at @Dale_J_Sweet
